Grandfathers Chair

Grandfathers Chair

Who knows who else has used this chair?
Who knows the stories behind it?
Nobody
A bright green chair sits in my attic
It is very worked in
Not just physically yet emotionally too
It is the only loving memory I have of my grandfather
It was his chair
Now it is ours
It is pierced with holes in many places
The leather is worn
And the suede cushion
Is tearing
It’s a little rough around the edges
But it is still wpnderful
Just like the man who once occupied it

This is a very good poem Jamie. You used very descriptive words that really put me in the right mind set. I could really picture that in my mind (the chair). So the descriptive words are what I really liked about the poem
Great Poem Jamie
